Beginning with Pilates? What Awaits You

If you decide for individual exercise, you will first meet with a physiotherapist, who will evaluate the state of your health, and fill out your client card to make important information available to all the instructors in the studio. In subsequent exercise hours, the instructors can then accustom the exercises to make them “custom made” for you. At issue are not necessarily serious health problems. Quite often it is simply a case of greater emphasis on arm strengthening, for instance, or the stretching of shortened muscles in the often problematic loin area of the spine.

Pilates exercise can be done by anyone.

Pilates is exercise:

  • Without age limitation
  • Without the necessity of previous movement experience

What Will Pilates Give You

Be patient and endure! You will soon feel an improvement, not only during the Pilates lessons themselves, but also during the course of your everyday life. Pilates is not just exercise during the time that you spend doing it. It is a method that will lead you to sense and become aware of your body. You will learn how to listen to it, use it properly and effectively, gain control over it. You will learn how not to stress your body unnecessarily or unsuitably. You will change your posture, change your walk, change the manner in which your carry out movements. This change will happen gradually, but it will be a long-term, even permanent change. The categorization of the Pilates method among Body and Mind methods is not gratuitous. Pilates is exercise that leads you to handle your own body and finally your whole being responsibly.
