Studio Pilates

myPilates ACADEMY was founded in 2009, with the aim to provide highly professional education in the field of Pilates in the Czech Republic. The original Body Style Prague studio (launched in 2003) concentrated mainly on client-based Pilates exercises. In 2008 a U.S.-based company Balanced Body (the largest producer and distributor of Pilates equipment in the world) addressed Body Style Prague studio and offered mutual cooperation. Balanced Body University (the BBU) - priding itself on a long-term tradition in the fields of Pilates education - forms an integral part of Balanced Body. In order to enlarge its activities, Body Style Prague became integrated into myPilates ACADEMY. Its main activities include running of Pilates studio in Ženské domovy location, arrangement of certified courses held in cooperation with the BBU as well as of educational seminars and workshops in the field of Pilates.
There are four exercise rooms here prepared for Pilates exercising, equipped with original Pilates machines and a series of exercise aids.
Pilates Exercise is founded on precision, and teaches you to become aware of your body, in order to enable you to handle it better. In each room you will be surrounded by mirrors, which you will use for controlling your movement. The studio has separate dressing rooms for women and men, each with its own bathroom and shower facilities. The lockers in the dressing rooms are lockable with a key, so you do not need your own lock, as is sometimes the case in larger fitness centers. If you are accustomed to taking a shower after exercising and forget to bring a towel (or you just don´t feel like carrying one around,) we will gladly lend you one free of charge.
Besides Pilates exercise, our studio also offers several kinds of massages.

This is the view you will have upon entry into the studio. On the right is the reception desk, where we´ll solve everything needed with you. The door on the right leads to the dressing rooms and to the rooms designated for massages and rehabilitation. Then, through the doors on the left, you will enter the exercise rooms. You can shorten your time while waiting for lessons by lounging on the sofas designated for this, or more actively by riding the rotopede at the end of the hall by the window.
