The Pilates exercise method consists of slow, concentrated exercises developed almost one hundred years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. It is a series of strengthening and stretching exercises. Besides other benefits, Pilates will teach you how to breathe properly, eliminate your back pains, improve your mobility, and mold your body. Pilates exercises will teach you to truly live in harmony with your body.
The exercise methods of the myPilates ACADEMY stem from the original method of J.H. Pilates. We exercise not only with the original accessories (Magic circle, poles), but we also use modern equipment (Arc Barrel, Foam Roller, Bosu, Thera Band, various types of balls). Under the expert guidance of our instructors you will first become familiar with the fundamentals of exercising on the mat (i.e. matwork), then you can go on to exercise on original Pilates machines (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel).
Pilates Method exercises can be done by anyone, regardless of age or previous movement experience, even after injuries. Some of our instructors are formally educated in physiotherapy. Pilates is appropriate for pregnant women, and is especially suitable for women after they had given birth. The difficulty of exercise can easily be accommodated to individual capabilities. We will devise an individual weight reduction program for you upon request.
After 10 lessons you will feel a difference.
